Jesus said in John 8:39 – If you were Abraham’s children, you would do what Abraham did.
There are multiple folds that led Jesus to this question and answer at the same time to the Jews. But today we are just looking at one particular aspect.
That is The children of Abraham, what must they do like Abraham did?
For Abraham obeyed
- God’s voice
- Commandments
- Statues aka decreeds
- Laws
As found in Genesis 22:18, 26:5.

And Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians in Galatians 3:29 “If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s Off Spring, heirs according to promise”.
We that belong to Jesus Christ are also Abraham’s Off Spring, Off Spring due His Promise.
Hence IF Abraham is indeed our father (Jews and Christians), we the Abrahamic Disciples of Jesus Christ aka Messianic Jews and Christians MUST do what Abraham did.

Let’s give a good thought to what the Lord says – A tree is known by its fruits. No good tree bares bad fruit. No bad tree bares good fruit.
