Author of the Book: “Your Wedding Garment, Your Destiny”

Joseph Boon (Eric Chang Chee Boon) was called by the Lord Jesus Christ with thunder and lightning in 2003 to Bethesda Cathedral (B.C.) in Singapore (SG). He rededicated his life to the Lord and the Lord pour forth His Spirit on him at B.C..

God kept him alive through several miracles. Set him on a journey of faith in Him after calling him out from a life of darkness into His marvelous light.

In this ongoing journey, the Lord has blessed him with a beautiful family, walking him through His parables and reveals Himself to Eric as a loving Father would.

A prophetic elder in B.C. shared a vision of the word Joseph over Eric. Without understanding and yet shortly after that God called Eric to Wellington, New Zealand (NZ) in 2006.

About 6 months after arriving in Wellington, the Lord instructed him to go to John Elliot Church in Wellington of with he was clueless. There were 2 of the same name in/from NZ. One based in South Island and the other whom he knows when he was at B.C. aka Rev John Elliot of World Outreach was based in SG then, not NZ.

Right after, a knock on his door from the ex-tenant who happened also to be a Singaporean invited him to attend Hutt City Church followed by a brother Mike’s Cell Group gathering. Mike told the group that John is coming in 2 weeks time. Eric tapped Mike and asked, by any chance John’s last name is Elliot? And to his amazement, Mike asked you know him? Indeed it is John Elliot coming from SG.

Eric met Rev John Elliot as God has directed after 2 weeks. And so Eric was found at the stipulated place as God wanted him to be found for that time and session.

He returned to SG in mid 2010 as directed by the Lord. But He lost the fire due to sickness, demands and distractions in life.

The Lord turned him again – Luke 22:32. He called him back to NZ in late 2018. In early 2019, God once again overflows His Holy Spirit on him at The River Christian Church, Auckland.

As he continues to walk with the Lord, the Lord told him specifically to start a Ministry to:

• Find back His Lost Sheep
• Prepare the Bride
• Prepare the Bridegroom’s Friend.

The Lord then set-him-up through a last minute invite from a personal friend, Pastor Kong with a discipleship-making meeting at East City Weslyen Church, Auckland conducted by Rev Edmund Chan of Covenant Evangelical Free Church Singapore.

After that God started

• Showing him about his upcoming mission for the new season of his  life
• dropping new messages and
• scrolls again into Eric’s life. 

God continued to send Prophetic Pastors to bless and prophesy boldness into his life.

With new found boldness, Eric spoke and asked the Lord this:

“Lord, you have given the keys to the secrets to the kingdom of Heaven to Simon Peter, what have happened to them? Some of the very important ones either

• have been lost to us for some reasons through the generations after Simon or
• have been kept from us for reasons for which you know Lord.

What is that you have shared and revealed to your original 11 disciples which resulted in their great understanding and enlightenment especially understanding of all your parables which gave them great conviction and have enabled them in doing great exploits for you and I don’t. Like them, I too am a disciple of yours isn’t it?”.

Asked and indeed you shall receive!

From there on, Eric began to receive greater knowledge of Him and understanding, revelation upon revelation of God and His Word unto a whole new level like never before as the Lord’s responded to his asking.

The first message Eric received almost caused him to fall off his chair so to speak – the parable of the Wedding Feast and the man without the Wedding Garment.

The Lord then told him to write a book.  And by faith, Eric started writing though English isn’t his forte and also not knowing the why, how, who, where, when, what to write really; beyond the parable for the Wedding Feast.

And the Lord wanted Eric to lean on Him fully for guidance and direction only with the exception of Evangelistic Pastor Raj Narayanan, NZ whom He planted beside Eric to whom Eric is exceptionally grateful for his unabated point blank questionings and personal time which resulted in the explosive growth of the framework of the book.

Eric seek the Lord in obedience through much prayer walks, by waiting upon Him and worshipping Him.

Main gist of the message was formed in 3 weeks but it took 9 months by faith to see the pregnancy through to full term and the baby is born.

The Lord named it – “Your Wedding Garment, Your Destiny”.

Some of us may not be comfortable with:

• the style and approach of his sharing
• the level of details and clarity been shared

in so carrying out the mission statement of his ministry.

The Lord seeks to reach out to the Last Generation (space-age Gen Y & Z) which is almost completely different from the generation He came to more than 2000 years ago.

As we are nearer the end than the beginning, the Lord’s choice of revelation is PLAIN as DAYLIGHT for the time of concealment is expiring as our reconciliation of our Salvation has gotten nearer and almost here! This is just a prelude to the FULL revelation.

The mystery of God will be completely revealed very very soon as per Revelation 10:7.

Take a Hint:  When God uses an absolute nobody like Eric to tell somebody and eventually heard by everybody, I think it is time to wake up from our slumber!

For a start, Eric throws this challenge to every disciples of Jesus Christ:

Approach the throne of Grace with confidence so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (such as NOW) – Hebrews 4:16

Remind the Lord that regardless of whatever appointments He has given you, you too are a disciple of His.

Ask Jesus to give you ALL the keys to the Secret of the Kingdom of Heaven so that you may continue to serve Him as per His Purpose for you, like His original called and chosen 11 Apostles. And in doing so, may the Father of Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ bless you richly and abundantly.  May you receive the Spirit of Wisdom and of revelation understanding in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may understand the hope He has called you and the riches of His Glorious inheritance of the Saints in Christ Jesus! Amen.

God then gave him a new name – Joseph Boon and told him to start a ministry.
